Acne And The Bowel – Pointer To A Cure

Dr. Bernard Jensen, a proponent of natural health and author of Dr. Jensen’s “Guide To Better Bowel Care” said this:

“In the 50 years I’ve spent helping people to overcome illness, disability and disease, it has become crystal clear that poor bowel management lies at the root of most people’s health problems.”… “To try to take care of any symptom in the body without a good elimination system is futile.”

This is stunning information!

Dr. Jensen’s final sentence puts the billion dollar-over-the-counter-acne industry squarely on its head!

How you ask? Read on!

Problems of the bowel find their genesis in childhood, lifelong habits. Most consider their bowel movements normal. How would they know otherwise? Who talks about and compares their bowel movements?

Some may mention constipation every now and then, but many consider constipation normal. As long as they get constipated every three or four months, constipation is not a problem. But every three of four months is habitual.

Constipation is usually caused by a lack of fiber in the diet.

Plant foods provide this fiber. When finally broken down by the digestive system plant foods become bulk or roughage. Wheat Bran is a food high in fiber. It provides good roughage for the bowels.

Two soft, rounded bowel movements a day is normal. They should move out easily and promptly. Those who hog the bathroom with their newspaper should be concerned. You should only be able to read the headlines.

To read the newspaper from cover to cover indicates possible bowel problems as do the following:

1. Your bowels should move everyday.

2. You should not need a laxative.

3. Bowel movements should not be difficult.

4. Missing a daily bowel movement is a no no.

5. Straining during a movement.

6. Dry or hard stool, all indicate a lack of fiber in the diet.

This is the last sentence of Dr. Jensen’s quote above. “To try to take care of any symptom in the body without a good elimination system is futile.” I’ll repeat the sentence but replace the words “any symptom” with the word “acne.”

“To try to take care of acne in the body without a good elimination system is futile.”

Absolutely Remarkable! Look at what he is telling us.

The answer to a cure for acne cannot be found externally. It doesn’t lie in over the counter drugs. The answer to a cure for acne must be sought internally.
