Rodan and Fields was founded in 2002 but did not start as a network marketing company. The products were initially sold in high end department stores such as Nordstrom, Saks Fifth Avenue and Henry Bendel. In 2006 the doctors took the products out of the department stores even though they were very popular. The doctors assembled a team of researchers who found the products were popular because consumers were so impressed with the products that they would tell their friends about it. Since the doctors are entrepreneurs themselves they thought it would be a great opportunity for those who want to earn commissions by spreading the word about their products. In 2009 Rodan and Fields was re-launched as a network marketing business model.
Rodan and Fields carries a line of clinical skincare products and tools that target the needs of patients that they see all the time. As practicing dermatologists, they were always treating the same skin issues; aging skin, sun damaged skin, acne and sensitive skin. They decided to formulate a line of skincare that would help all 4 issues and consumers would be able to buy the products over the counter. They consist of simple 3-4 step regimens which include: Anti-Age for wrinkles, pore minimization and loss of firmness; Reverse for brown spots, dullness and sun damage; Unblemish for acne and post acne marks and Soothe for sensitive, irritated skin and facial redness. They also have products to maintain healthy skin and optimize results such as micro-dermabrasion paste and mineral peptides to even skin tone.
The company offers a competitive compensation plan and bonus programs. As a distributor for Rodan and Fields you can earn 16%-25% on your personal sales. In addition to that you can earn 15% on your direct line and 5% on your downline up to 6 generations.

It’s very important that you have the correct marketing techniques, brand yourself as a leader and use a system that will generate a steady flow of quality leads. Do this and you will have a greater chance for success. When you join a network marketing company you are told all about the traditional, old school techniques to build your business. Make a list of 100 people, call everyone you know and tell them what you’re doing now, invite them to a hotel meeting or coffee shop meeting. You can use these methods if you like, but combine them with methods to generate leads online and your chances of success increase tremendously.
