Face cleansing is the most fundamental and important step for all your skin care procedures. Due to the prosperity in skin care industry and the advancement in skin care technology, you can probably find all types of face cleanser available. If you choose the wrong face cleanser, you may bring a disaster to you face.
Cleansing milk is a type of cleansing products. You may also find cleansing soap, cleansing powder, cleansing mousse and cleansing water, etc. As the cleansing milk will not stay on your face for a long time, the moisturizing, nourishing and whitening effect is actually very weak. Therefore, you should not expect the cleansing milk is with great skin care power as it mentions for advertisement purpose.
To evaluate cleansing milk, you should consider the cleansing power, mildness, foaming power and the moisturizing power. In general, the foam power and moisturizing power are in inverse proportion. The cleansing milk that can produce plenty amount of foam usually contains more activated ingredients. There ingredients have great cleansing power, but affect the fat layer in epidermis and the moisturizing function in skin.
Though the whitening and exfoliating function are tempting, most of them contain BHA or Tartaric Acid (a type of AHA) that helps soften and remove the dead skin and cuticle. But, these ingredients can cause irritation and allergy to skin and therefore have to be chosen carefully. Some of the cleansers contains moisturizing ingredients like hyaluronic acid and butanediol. People with dry or sensitive skin can choose this type of cleaning milk.
Consumer has the right to choose the different brands of cleansing milk for themselves. You do not need to stick with the same brand for a lifetime long. If you switch brand after using the existing cleanser, there is definitely no problem. Cleansing milk produces least dependency among all the skin care products. But, you are not advised to change your cleanser too frequently like every week. The frequent change of cleaning milk may increase skin sensitivity. If the difference in acidity or alkalinity is significant, you may suffer from decortications.
The proper temperature for cleansing face is also important. Cold water shrinks the pores. Hot water can enlarge the pores for cleansing but can be irritating. The best is lukewarm water. It is better to use soft water instead of hard water. Cleanse your face not more than one and a half minute. This can minimize the effect of irritation by the activated ingredients in the cleansing milk.
