How To Apply Anti Wrinkle Eye Cream

You might have thought that applying anti-wrinkle eye cream is a no-brainer. It might sound simple, yes, but if you don’t do it the right way, you might end up with wrinkles that look a lot worse than before you started with your anti-aging product. Well, you don’t need to have technical skills or a 150++ IQ to get it done, of course, but there are several steps to follow in order to make the most of the product and benefit greatly from it. Apparently, fighting skin aging is not all about using the best anti-wrinkle eye cream out there. The manner by which you use it, while often overlooked, is also a big factor. If you think you have the best anti-aging product out there but still do not get the result you expect, it could very well be that you are not using the product as it is meant to be used.

Here are some guidelines and a few ideas on how to apply an anti-wrinkle eye cream to get the most benefits:

  1. If you are going to apply your anti-wrinkle cream twice a day, make the first application early in the morning to give it enough time to be absorbed by your skin before your skin comes in contact with other stuff you put on your face. Some experts suggest looking for an anti-wrinkle cream that also doubles as a sunscreen. This way, you will not need to use another product on top of the other. Using sunscreen is very important. It protects you from sun damage and delays the development of the signs of aging. If you cannot find an anti-wrinkle cream with sun protection properties, just make sure your choice of sunscreen does not react negatively with your anti-wrinkle cream.
  2. If it’s the first time you’ll be using the anti-wrinkle cream, read the label thoroughly, making sure you get the directions on how to apply the cream, how often and how much you need to apply, correctly.
  3. Wash your hands. I know, this is a basic thing to do; sad to say it is often overlooked.
  4. Always start on a clean, dry face. A clean surface increases chances of your cream being effectively absorbed by your skin. Use a mild cleanser (or one with anti-aging properties as well) to remove dirt and makeup residue. Soaps have drying properties so they really don’t make a wise choice in this case. Organic Sunflower seed oil is one of the best cleansers you can find these days. It helps to reduce fine lines and wrinkles at the same time. Allow your face to dry.
  5. Concentrate on the eye area first, where crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles are most evident. Use your index finger to gently massage the cream onto it. This will enable you to apply the gentlest of pressure. Keep in mind that the skin surrounding the eye area is most vulnerable to tears and stress. See to it that the cream is completely absorbed.
  6. Wait for a few minutes to see how your skin reacts to the cream. Observe it for redness, itching, or blemishes. If any one develops, wash your face thoroughly and stop using the product. Actually, when you use organic and natural anti-wrinkle creams, you’ll have lesser chances of these negative skin reactions happening. It is true that many chemicals in commercially-prepared anti-aging creams are what cause these reactions. Worse, some of them are even thought to speed up aging.
  7. Last but not least of all, make healthy choices when it comes to diet and lifestyle. This should always be made part of any anti-aging treatment.
